A woman was walking to work and accidentally stepped in wet cement. The construction worker laying the cement flipped out and yelled at her for not looking where she was going. She went away mortified.
The next day she was walking to work and came across the same construction worker still laying cement. She began apologising for stepping in the cement the day before. The cement man didn't remember her at all and said people stepped in the cement all the time and he couldn't possibly remember them individually.
Everyone in the world is a cement man.
Thing is, confidence is a liquid behavioural pattern. You can’t quite pin-point every micro reflection of a confident person. Confident behaviour influences every body movement, facial expression, voice tone, everything. If it doesn’t come to you naturally, it’d take you ages of analysis and practice to reproduce.
The good news is - it does come naturally in the right circumstances. When one is with his/her loved ones, his natural confidence comes out. That is because on such occasion you strip yourself down from the artificial valuables and allow the person in front of you to judge you for what you really are.
You subconsciously tap into a unique pattern of confidence, what you are doing to lose weight, the amount of money you have in the bank account, the status you’ve achieved so far, the posture, which so many life-hackers love to present as a sign of a confident person - none of it matters.
Learn confidence from your own natural pattern, not from others.
Do that by realising that everyone on earth is a cement man.
You, nor anyone else on this earth, matter too much, hence, calm down and act as if you’re with your loved ones.
That is true confidence
